He is survived by: his former wife Judith Pankers; his friend Helen Burck of Deep River; his children, Michael Dierenfeld (Joan) of Northwood, Ellen Dierenfeld (Georg Weyand) of St. Louis, Mark Dierenfeld of Vienna and Cinda Ross (Mark) of Chesapeake, Virginia; his grandchildren, Ashley Burns (Rick), Allyson Krull (Chad), Christoph Dierenfeld, Austin Ross (Megan), Sarah Ross (Dylan McCoy) and Adam Ross; his great grandchildren, Natalie Burns, Abigail Burns, Kendall Krull and Evan Krull; his sister Ruth Brell of Sac City; his sisters-in-law, Betty Dierenfeld of Sac City and Doris Dierenfeld of Urbandale; his grandchildren, Chad Schmidt (Jessica), Brandon Schmidt, Quinn Burck, Gage Burck, Spencer Burck and Miranda Ballard (Scott); and his great grandchildren, Kamryn Schmidt, Kaydence Schmidt, Elizabeth Schmidt, Asher Burck and Price Burck.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deep River Fire Department, the Calvary Lutheran Church or the Morrison-Schrader American Legion Post 296 in Deep River.
