He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Jim" and Lena Axman (Theulen); his son Rick Axman; his children-in-law, David Schmitz and Patty Axman; his grandchildren, Rhonda Downey and Michael Schmitz; and his siblings, John Axman, Shirley Christensen, Mary Klocke and Joe Axman.
He is survived by: his former wife Freda Kasperbauer; his wife Freda Axman of Dedham; his children, Pam Schmitz of Omaha, Bill Axman of Carroll and Terry Axman (Lisa Adams) of Carroll; his sisters, Marcy Cook (John) of Carroll and Carol Ann Axman of Dedham; his sister-in-law Sharon Grote of Fonda; and also Gift. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
