He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Rude and Lillie Rude (Larson); his son Allen Rude; his sister Norma Hilberg (Walter); and his former wife Dorothy Rude.
He is survived by: his former wife Dorothy J. Hoffman; his wife Marian Rovang Rude (Tollefsrud); his children, Robert Rude (Sharon) of Coralville, IA, Susan Lenz (Mark) of Harmony, MN and Karen Quam (Steve) of Decorah; his grandchildren, Katy Rude, Nicholas Rude (Hayley), Cory Rude, Darin Rude, David Lenz, Rachel Lenz, Kyle Quam (Stacey), Heather Strathman (Matt) and Samantha Quam; his great grandchildren, Brooke, Elijah, Zander, Jeremiah and Anna; his sister Charlotte Aswegan of Decorah; and his brothers-in-law, Lawrence Tollefsrud (Rhea), Gerald Tollefsrud (Linda), Truman Allen Tollefsrud (Brenda) and Bernell Tollefsrud (Kathy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In consideration of concerns regarding Covid-19 and our city mandate, social distancing and face masks or shields are required to attend.
