He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Walter Tollefson and Nina Mae Thorson; and his brother Russell Tollefson. He is survived by: his sons, Ron Tollefson of Cedar Rapids and Randy Tollefson (Sherrie) of Vinton, Iowa.; his sister Cheryl Choate (Dennis) of Norway, Iowa.; his nephews, Russell Jr. Tollefson, Steven Tollefson, Troy Mrstik, Kyle Mrstik, Dan Choate and Ryan Choate; his stepsons, Shawn Hanf, Travis Hanf and Brandon Hanf; his grandchildren, Christina Buser (James), Amber Tollefson, Haliey Foster (Kyle), Devin Tollefson, Jayden Tollefson (Abby) and Austin Tollefson; and his great grandchildren, Caroline, Olivia, Oliver, Bailey and Owen.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Central City Amvets (16 S 4th St, Central City, IA 52214).
