He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Stone and Jean Stone (Condon); his brother Ronald Stone; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Richtsmeier, Virgil Nelson and James Viste.
He is survived by: his former wife Jane Maltas; his daughters, Tracey and Tammy; his wife Joan Stone of Decorah; his daughter Kris Weber (Tom) of Cedar Falls, IA; his grandchildren, Sarah, Matt and Tracey Wilhelm (Greg) of West Salem, WI; his great grandchildren, Spencer and Tammy Vehrenkamp (Mark) of West Salem, WI; his siblings, Barb Nelson of Dakota City, IA, Pam Thomas (Andrew), Dianne Rubendall (Dan) of Waterloo, IA, Robert Stone (Kathy) of Ankeny, IA and Donald Stone (Brenda) of Gilbertville, IA.; and also, Erica, Emily, Evan, Statia Thomas (Dan) of Ames, IA, Liam and Desmond.
