He is survived by: his daughter Julie Hale; his son-in-law Troy Hale of Grand Meadow, MN.; his son Robert Ruen of Peyton; his grandsons, Parker Hale and Jackson Hale of Grand Meadow, MN.; his sisters, Helen Hermeier of Decorah, IA, Lucille (Dean Christianson) of Owatonna, MN and Diane (Norbert Lovstuen) of Decorah, IA.; his siblings-in-law, Sandy Meyer (Dan) of Atalissa, IA, Kathy Thomas (John) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Sue McCloud (Reuben) of Orlando, FL. and Jay Clasen (Linda) of Kansas City, MO; his parent-in-law Walter Sweet (Thelma); and his brother-in-law Allen Hermeier.
In lieu of flowers, Bob requests memorials to the Decorah Future Farmers of America and Winneshiek County Clover Club.
