Otis Tollefson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2024, at the age of 92, Otis Tollefson of Decorah, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Otto S. Tollefson; his wife Elsie Jane Reyerson; his daughter Diane Jaastad (Tollefson); his mother Katherine Marjorie Tollefson; his siblings, Noel Tollefson and Patricia Hall; and his siblings-in-law, Dolores Tollefson and Dr. Robert Hall.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Gallagher (Michael) of Cedar Rapids and Steven Tollefson of Decorah, Iowa; his sister Gail Libby (Fred); his grandchildren, Michelle Bildstein (Ryan), Matthew Gallagher (Kate) and Emily Jaastad (Jacob Bedford); and his great grandchildren, Avery, Harper, Anthony, Brandi, Micah, Jack, Grace, Violet and Olive. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (604 W Broadway St, Decorah, IA 52101). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Decorah Community Food Pantry; P.O. Box 26; Decorah, Iowa 52101, or to WinnMed Hospice, 901 Montgomery St., Decorah, Iowa 52101.
