Nancy Johnson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Johnson (Decorah, Iowa), who passed away on March 31, 2020 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clarence V. Nelson and Elizabeth A. Nelson (Hillesland) of Decorah, IA.; her husband Dale; her daughters, Keri Ostby (Brett) of Rochester, MN and Heather Batterson (Chad); her grandchildren, Jake, Lily, Mason, Ethan and Annika; her mother-in-law Irene Johnson of Decorah, IA.; her siblings, Mary Wall (Michael) of Mesa, AZ. and Jim Nelson (Mindy) of Cottage Grove, MN.; her brothers-in-law, Keith Johnson (Linda) of Ridgeway, IA and Bob Hogseth; her uncle Vern Hillesland (Jean); her sister Donna Hogseth; and her father-in-law Kenneth "Kenny" Johnson. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Luther College, Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum, and Iowa Public Television in memory of Nancy.
