It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maureen Yahr of Decorah, Iowa, who passed away on November 15, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Patrick McConnell and Irene Kathern McConnell (Snitker); her siblings, Thomas McConnell and Kathleen McConnell Simon; her parents-in-law, Ina Yahr and Ervin Yahr Sr.; and her brother-in-law James Yahr.
She is survived by: her husband Ervin Yahr Jr.; her children, Kaitlin Pohland (Joel) and Ervin "Will" Yahr III; her granddaughter Beth Irene Pohland; and her siblings, Mary Cook (Dennis), Jane Murray (Ray) and David McConnell (Brenda). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
