Lois Gunhus Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Gunhus of Decorah, Iowa, who passed away on July 4, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Steinmetz and Sigrid Steinmetz (Otteson); her husband Herb; her brothers, Leonard Jr. (Adah), Harold (Phyllis), Robert (Bob) and Charles (Chuck); her stepson Bruce Gunhus; her parents-in-law, Charles, Alma Chyle, Art and Evelyn Gunhus; and her brother-in-law Duane Gunhus.
She is survived by: her former husband Herbert Chyle; her husband Larry Gunhus; her children, Craig Chyle (Sarah) of Decorah and Crystal Wetherington (Bill) of Cresco; her stepdaughters, Kristi Lepa of Cresco and Valerie Gunhus of Waukon, IA; her grandchildren, Caleb, Camrin (Chloe Chyle), Aaron (Tristan Wetherington), Christopher (Jessica Wetherington) and Beirgen Gunhus-Dansdill; her great grandchild Riley Carver of Colorado; her sisters, Marion Wibben (Ron) of Stewartville, MN and Janet McFadden (Bob) of Leawood, KS; and her sisters-in-law, Yvonne Steinmetz of Lincoln, CA and Gelene Gunhus of Cresco. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
