He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred C. Olson and Marie T. Olson (Kvam); and his siblings, Gerda Sersland (Nelson-Olson) and Arnold Olson. He is survived by: his wife Ruth M. Olson (Meyer); his children, Joan M. Olson of Omaha, NE and Alan P. Olson (Lynn Bielby) of Decorah; his sister-in-law Belva Kruse of Eitzen, MN; and his grandchildren, Mitchell Allen Creamer (Joan Olson) and Samantha Ruth Creamer (Joan Olson).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Humane Society of Northeast Iowa (HSNEI), 2345 Millennium Road, Decorah, IA 52101.
