He is survived by: his wife Alice Brown; his children, Mary Payne (Ed) of Decorah, IA, Jolene Frankhouse (John) of Marion, IA, Keith Hemesath (Linda) of Decorah, IA, Martha Kane (Bob) of Decorah, IA and Brad Hemesath (Trisha) of Charles City, IA.; his grandchildren, Whitney Lents (Kenny), Ross Payne (Anna), Mariah McCabe (Morgan), Andrew Frankhouse (Sylvia Lei), Tyler Frankhouse (Gillian Randall), Mitchel Hemesath (BreAnn), Adam Hemesath (Hannah), Ryan Hemesath, Kilah Watson (Joel), Garret Hemesath (Hannah Klotzbach), Lucas, Kyle, Anna Kane, Cade, Cael and Elayna Hemesath; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Audrey Hemesath, Alexis, Natalie Hemesath, Keaton Lents, Sidney McCabe and Jackson Payne; his siblings, Rosemary Whitehorne (Grady), Richmond, Eleanor Spielbauer, Norbert Hemesath (Suzanne) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Fred Hemesath (Frances); and his sister-in-law Frances Syverson of Decorah, IA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
