He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Womeldorf and Eleanor Womeldorf (Vick); his parents-in-law, Fred and Mildred Luzum; his brother Dean; and his stepgrandson Sebastian Torres.
He is survived by: his wife Laurel (Luzum); his sons, Brian (Paula) of Decorah, IA and David (Stephanie) of Edina, MN; his grandchildren, Samantha, Emily, Grace and Carter; his stepgrandchildren, Alexander and Isabella; his brother Wayne Womeldorf (Sue) of Tucson, AZ; and his siblings-in-law, Cindy Womeldorf of Decorah, IA and Lyle Luzum (Sue) of Decorah, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew, as well as many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Raptor Resource Center, Decorah Lutheran Church, the Decorah Food Pantry or the charity of your choice.
