He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Thompson and Alice Gilbertson. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette "Jenny" Thompson; his children, Jeffery (Mary Jo), Jon and Julie Barry (James); his grandchildren, Jordan, Jamie, Justus (Molly), Jana, Jawny Massengale (Colton), Tim and Joseph Barry; and his sisters, Ardys Hislop and Norma Nesset.
