He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Vine and Myrtle Vine (Sharp); his wife JoAnn Thompson; his son Lowell; his siblings, Darrell and Marilyn Kallevang; and his siblings-in-law, Donna, Mavis and Durwin Kallevang.
He is survived by: his son Duane Vine (Nadine) of Decorah; his daughter-in-law Debbie Garvin of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Angie Lindstrom (Lee) of Cresco and Matt Vine of Calmar; his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Zoey Lindstrom; his brothers, Carlton, Eldon (Kathy), Alvin and Robert (Ruby); and his sister-in-law Vivian. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
