She was predeceased by: her parents, Peder Solem and Karen Solem (Vinje); her husband Harris E. Kaasa; and her siblings, Bjarne Solem, Målfrid Solem, Borghild Engdal and Rachel Bjørnevåg (Sollid).
She is survived by: her son Kai Thomas of Garnavillo.
