It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Gilbertson of Decorah, Iowa, who passed away on July 3, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Casper Olaus and Netta Josephine Gilbertson (Engebretson); his wife Pearl Charlotte Flaskerud; his cousin Orin Gilbertson; his grandparents, Ole and Aase Gilbertson (Hovden); his brothers-in-law, Les Branhagen of Decorah and John Perry of Bloomington; and his siblings, Alice Thompson, Alma Hovden, Orville Gilbertson, Norman Gilbertson, Gladys Carlson, Mildred Gilbertson, Ella Gilbertson and Clara Perry (Claire). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
