She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Vick and Emma Vick (Brynsaas); and her husband Bill Brooks (Bill). She is survived by: her daughters, Becky Brooks of Cresco, IA and Beth Kirby (Dana) of Whiting, IA.; her grandchildren, Michelle Pearce (Andrew), Matthew Brooks, Tamara Tangen, Troy Tangen, Trent Tangen (Krista), Allison Kirby, Jamie Terry (Zach) and Mallory Warren (Nicholas); her siblings, Harris Brown of Austin, MN, Sadie Sersland (Robert) of Decorah, IA, Shirley Schick of Decorah, IA and Lorraine Severson; her son Bruce Brooks; her daughter-in-law Jackie Brooks; her siblings, Harriet Leidahl and William Brown (Willie); and also Karen Brown of Decorah, IA. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (302 W Broadway St, Decorah, IA 52101). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
