Donald Halvorson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Halvorson of Decorah, Iowa, who passed away on July 13, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Halvorson and Mabel Halvorson (Rustad); his sons, Charles D. Halvorson and Gary R. Halvorson; and his siblings, Ruth Strub (Ray), Edna Strub (Vince), Margaret Stortz (Virgil) and Orlando Halverson (Olga).
He is survived by: his wife June Evelyn Barth; his daughters, Elaine Livezey (Tom) of Greenville, TX and Darlene Gibson (Dennis) of Pittsburg, TX; his daughters-in-law, Louann Ptacek (Mark) of Lawler, IA and Jacqueline Halvorson of Shreveport, LA; his grandchildren, Scott Livezey (LaTifini) of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Jennifer Hooker (Donald) of The Colony, TX, Charles Halvorson Jr. (Tiffany) of Washington, IA, Louann "Tweety" Rilling (Joe) of Decorah, Solomon Halvorson (Rachel) of Des Moines, IA, Uriah Halvorson (Jordan) and Andrew Halvorson (Andrea) of La Crosse, WI; and his great grandchildren, Lexie Hooker, Charlie, Johannah, Isaiah Halvorson, Emma and Gunnar Rilling. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
