He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Hagen and Myrtle Luella Hagen (Moe); his wife LaRue Hagen (Lee); his daughter Connie Brinkmann; his grandson Nicholas Hagen; his grandparents, Asle, Dordi Hagen (Borseth), Otto and Mina Moe (Prestsater); and his brother-in-law David Lillegraven.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Hagen (Sandy) of Cresco, Georgiann Hagen of Marion and David Hagen (Jussara) of Cedar Rapids; his son-in-law Wes Brinkmann of Cresco; his grandchildren, Nora Harer (Dave) of Mantorville, MN, Jonathan Brinkmann of Monterey, CA, Jarred Brinkmann (Veronica) of Northampton, MA, Jacob Hagen (Rand) of Newbury, MA, Ryan Hagen (Kelsey) of Cresco, Natalia, Asle, Carl and Kjirsti Hagen of Cedar Rapids; his great grandchildren, Cece, Eli, Grace Harer, Diego, Alma Garcia, Ana Carolina Brinkmann Martin, Caleb Buchheit and McCoy Hagen; and his sister Janice Matthews (Roy) of Charles City.
