She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Eleanor Nichols (Field) and Carl Nichols; her siblings, Marc Nichols (Sherry), Diane and Paul Nichols (Bev); her husband Herbert J. Hageman; her children, Amy Bultman (John) of Ankeny, IA, Andy Hageman (Min Yu) of Decorah, IA and Rachel McConnell (Mark) of Rochester, MN.; her grandchildren, James Bultman, Anne, Bennett McConnell, Sofia Hageman and Charlotte Yu; and her great grandchild June Hughes.

She loved her class reunions and having coffee with her classmates on Wednesdays at Java John's before the pandemic.

The day we met Aunt Carol for the 1st time, she went and sat with my brothers Donald and Dennis and myself in one of Grampa Hageman's old, dusty, dirty parked cars and talked to us like we were important to her.
