He was predeceased by: his parents, Gavin Kittelson and Ethel Kittelson (Sanden); and his children-in-law, Dr. Thomas Williams and Suzanne Kittelson (Pilgrim). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hjerleid; his children, Dr. Rhonda Williams Bugh (Robert) of Wheaton, Rev. Randal Kittelson of Golden, CO, Rochelle Kapell (Robert) of Blue Grass, IA, Roxanne Balboa (W. Michael) of Newnan, GA and Ryan Kittelson (Johanna) of Decorah; his siblings, Harley Kittelson (Patricia) of Moline, IL, Shirley Fretheim (Dean) of Owatonna, MN and Gretchen Troge (Darrell Bruening) of Decorah; and his siblings-in-law, Caroline Weis (James) of Decorah, Homer Hjerleid (Renee) of Decorah and Betty Wilson of Decorah. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
