It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty J Hanson (Decorah, Iowa), who passed away on August 7, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Carmen; her stepfather Dale Dietz; her brothers, Clifford Johnson of Decorah and Charles Johnson of Decorah; her granddaughter Carrie Jo Pete of Madison; her great grandchild Layla Schwartz of Sauk City; and her nephew Kippy Johnson of Decorah.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Pete (Francis) of North Freedom, Sam Pete (Tammy) of LaCrosse, Linda Coffey (Dan Eveland) of Arena and Lisa Shaw (Todd) of Sheboygan; and her brother Michael Dietz (Rosalind) of Waterloo. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
