With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Hinz (Decorah, Iowa), who passed away on August 2, 2022 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Baker and Myrlie Baker; her husband Darwin "Sid" Hinz; her daughter Cynthia Blauer; her son-in-law John Blauer; and her stepmother Ann Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Jo Berg and Jaime Sherman (Doug); her grandchildren, Richard Blauer (Jessica), Jory Blauer (Mea), Stephanie Fitzgerald (Christopher), Christopher Berg (Rachel), Courtney Berg, Kyle Sherman and Casey Sherman Kallas (Jordan); and her great grandchildren, Xander, Skyler Blauer, Andrew, Matthew Blauer, Breken, Baylor Fitzgerald, Nolan Berg, Liam, Sophia Sherman, Avery, Cameron and Rory Kallas.
In Lieu of flowers: memorials may be made to the Solon Care Center, 523 East 5th St., Solon, IA 52333, Barbara was born on November 6, 1922, to George and Myrlie Baker in Decorah, Iowa.
