We bid farewell to Anita Imoehl of Decorah, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 26, 2024 at the age of 88. Anita touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Jake" Reicks and Eleanor Reicks (Busche); her husband Merlin V. Imoehl; her parents-in-law, Frank and Angela Imoehl (Hageman); her siblings, Leo Reicks, Cyril Reicks, Arlene (Leo Bodensteiner), Denis (Judy Reicks), Alvin Shindelar, Roger Reicks and Loras Reicks; and her in-laws, Jerome, Alvina Imoehl, Valeria, Gordian Lensing, Eleanora, Guido "Pete" Franzen, Ralph Imoehl, Nilus, Jeanette Imoehl, Laverne Imoehl and Leo Steinlage.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Evans (Martin) of Bloomington, MN, Linda Hooper (Gary) of Luana, IA, Donna Imoehl of Eden Prairie, MN, Ellen Imoehl of Decorah, IA, Bob Imoehl (Denise) of Luana, IA and Beth Feickert (Scott) of Tigard, OR; her grandchildren, Alison Warren (Austin), Zyann Hooper, Kara Hooper (Alex Larsen), Brandon Imoehl (Jessica Anderson), Grant Imoehl, Seth Feickert and Greta Feickert; her great grandchildren, Crosby, Monroe and Steele Warren; her sisters, Edith Shindelar, Monica Brooks and Verna Chasey (Al); and her sisters-in-law, Florence Reicks, Arlene Wilusz, Leonilla Imoehl and Corrina Steinlage. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, masses may be requested, or memorials may be sent to the WinnMed Home Health and Hospice or St. Benedict Catholic Church, Decorah, IA.
