He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Mumper and Agnes Mumper (Slawson); his brother Douglas Mumper; and his close friends, Donnie and Tom Rowley.

He is survived by: his wife June Mumper of Dayton, IA; his children, Melissa Mumper (Sam Smith) of St. Joseph, MO, Krista (Mark Bowser) of Clay Center, KS and Calvin Mumper of Lehigh, IA; his grandsons, Nathaniel and Oliver Bowser; and his sister Patricia Axne (Ron). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
