He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Olga; his siblings, Kermit, Lauren, Doris Persson and Ruby Klatt; his sons, Doug and Duane; and his grandson Troy Youngdale.
He is survived by: his children, Randy (Reta) and Julie Hoag (Jim); his daughter-in-law Carla Youngdale; his stepchildren, Jeff Pagel (Angie) and Amy McCollough (Doug); his former wife Bonnie Lambert; and his wife Jean Nicholson (Bauer). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two step- great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; along with many nieces and nephews.
