He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul J. Knopf and Thelma Knopf (Hewitt); his grandparents, Julius, Augusta Knopf, Hiram and Clarice Hewitt; his brother Gene A. Knopf; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald E. Linn and Mary Knopf.
He is survived by: his siblings, Phyllis Linn, Shirley Petersen, Sharon Fortune (Thomas), Sandi Jobe (Douglas), Linda Lundquist (Charles) of New Braunfels, TX and Rick Knopf (Mary) of Honolulu, HI.. He is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
