With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Darlene Johnston of Dayton, Iowa, born in Ogden, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 17, 2024 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter William and Dorothy Ann Lass (Crouse); her husband Lawrence Johnston; her daughters, Julie Snowgren and Carol Piper (Mickey); her grandchildren, Kimberly Tempel and Michael Anderson; her great grandchild Blake Michael Tempel; and her brothers, Dean Lass and Donald Lass (Joyce).
She is survived by: her daughters, Ruth Anderson (Marvin) of Dayton, IA and Tammie Johnson (Trent) of Webster City, IA; her son-in-law Steve Snowgren of Cairo, MO; her grandchildren, Mark Anderson, Teresa Batterson, Stephanie Wardell, Nathan Chase and Sarah Snowgren; and her grandson-in-law Mike Tempel. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
