It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Robert Delong (Davis City, Iowa), who passed away on October 6, 2019, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Robert and Emma Mae DeLong (Davis); his wife Pam DeLong; his sister Janice; his brother-in-law Farrell Knorr; his brother Keith DeLong; his brother-in-law Scotty Briggs; his parents-in-law, Hilda and Harold Akers; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Dene and Kathy Akers.
He is survived by: his cousins, Glenn and Maurice Barth; his children, Jeanie Mae, Robert William, Angela Dawn, Amber Lynn, Robert DeLong of Kansas City and Angie (Rob Friedman); his grandchildren, Doug Cook, Cheri Cook (Justin Hopkins), Dillon, Ski-Laine DeLong, Austin DeLong, Quintin Friedman, Emma Friedman, Arabelle Friedman, Cailynn Friedman, Cade Vicker (Abby Raney) and Corbyn Vicker; his great grandchildren, Axeton DeLong and Mya Hopkins; his siblings, Mary Briggs of Stanberry, Missouri and Willard; and his sister-in-law Mary DeLong of Osceola, Iowa. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
