She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilmer A. Laidley and Ethel Laidley (Johnson); her husband Marvin Stave; and her siblings, Donald Laidley, Willis Laidley, Marlys Helgeson and Eunice VanBaalen.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Herberg, Dale Herberg (Jo), Gwen Herberg and Daniel Herberg (Tressa); her grandchildren, Jill Brownell (Ryan), Jake Herren (Amanda), Marcea Griggs (Robert), Christopher Herberg (Karri), Rachel Thennes (Chris), David Martel, Jordan Cosgrove (Kendal) and Taylor Herberg; and her siblings-in-law, Melba Laidley and Julius VanBaalen. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandsons.
Memorials may be made in Verna's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Mercy One Genesis Hospice.
