He is survived by: his wife Lois; his stepchildren, Deanna Carroll (Stewart) and John Oberhaus; his grandchildren, Benjamin Carroll and Abigail Carroll; his siblings, Mary Carstens of Davenport, Terry Hartog (Bonnie) of Davenport, Donna Gardner (Steve) of Davenport and William Hartog (Amy) of Davenport; his pet Blackie; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Raap and Emma Mason (Keith).
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior program, King's Harvest Pet Rescue or Holy Family Catholic Church.
