He is survived by: his brother Eric Bailey (Kelly); his friend Scott Hansen (Georgia); his cousins, Debbie, Lori, Peggy, Doug, Jamie, Jason and Tony; his uncle Larry Bailey (Brenda); his caregiver Emma; and also, Nick and Lindsey.

Memorials may be made in Shawn's name to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital or the Abbey Center Bettendorf.
