It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Meinert Rittmer of Davenport, Iowa, born in Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on August 9, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Rittmer and Evelyn Rittmer (Meinert); his former wife Patricia Smith; his son Bruce Rittmer; and his sisters, Donna Cousins and Eunice McCubbin.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Rittmer; his children, Susan Hasenmiller (Steve), Sara Grimm (Pete), Blaine Rittmer (Jill) and Brian Rittmer (Stephanie); his daughter-in-law Katie Rittmer; and his stepsons, Jay, Ward, Reed and Clay Williams. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; & great great grandchildren.
