She was predeceased by: her husband John Ellis Wright; her daughter Cynthia Kay Smith; and her siblings, John Turner, Lucille Joseph, JC Turner, Joe Turner, Ora Kerr, Clayton Turner Jr., Claude Turner, Louise Hawkins and Lawrence Turner.
She is survived by: her daughters, Essie Wright of Virginia, Patricia Blackmore of Riverdale, GA and Karen Wright-Edwards of Riverdale, GA.; and her siblings, Bernice Willingham of Davenport, IA and Robert Turner of Water Valley, MS.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the People's Missionary Baptist Church (553 23rd St, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
