He was predeceased by: his father Eddie Spears, Sr.; his son Antwun Echols; his stepfather Stanley Mitchell; and his brother Russell Spears. He is survived by: his wife Carla Spears; his children, Marcia Echols, Chanda Echols, Mark Echols, Marsha Scott and Heath Spears; his stepchildren, Shamela McNeal, Taneeka Grafft, Marcu Grafft, Carlina Grafft, Mekezie Harris and Lanell McNeal; and his siblings, Shelly Spears, Eddie Spears, Jr., Miahsha Ethal Felder, Curtis Spears, Sr. (Brenda), Clay Spears, Peggy Ross (Fred) and Stanley Spears. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Runge Mortuary Chapel (838 E Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA 52807). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A repast was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the The Center (1411 N Brady St, Davenport, IA 52803).
