He was predeceased by: his parents, R. LaVerne Peterson and Marie Peterson (Malmburg). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn S. Hackbarth; his sons, Jon Peterson of Earlham and Jason Peterson (Trista) of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Blaire, Benjamin and Sloane; and his brothers, Donald Peterson (Beverly) of Bloomington and Gary Peterson (Linda) of Champaign, Illinois..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (2136 N Brady St, Davenport, IA 52803). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Friends of Veterans Memorial Park or to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
