He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret E. Lucas; his sons, Tommy Dennis and Troy Dennis; his granddaughter Mercedes; and his siblings, Mary Malicoat, Clinton Dennis and Larry Dennis.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Ragsdale of Davenport, Tracy Dennis of Davenport, Tammy Pena of Davenport, Terry Dennis (Kathleen) of Philadelphia and Travis Dennis (Tami) of Davenport; his siblings, Maxine Emma Moore of Jacksonville, Illinois, Gordon Dennis of Decatur and Bobby Dennis of Jacksonville; and his friend Dixson Barnhart. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
