With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Kay Nelson of Davenport, Iowa, born in Washington, Iowa, who passed away on September 9, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Clyde and Cecile Belle Kephart (Hopping); her husband Richard Nelson; her son Jeff; and her siblings, Erma Regennitter, Raymond, Bernard, Lester and Leslie.
She is survived by: her son Greg Nelson (Barb Jones) of Davenport; her grandsons, Jack and Dillon; her brother Gerald Kephart (Judy) of Knoxville, IA; and her sisters-in-law, Beverly Kephart of Sigourney, IA and Donna Cline of Washington, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
