She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Carstensen and Vel Carstensen (Jochim); her husband Joseph McAllister; her brothers, John and Kenny Carstensen; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Carstensen and Gerald Shook.
She is survived by: her children, Jim McAllister (Debbie), Jane Huber (Randy), Julianne Hansen (Kirk), John McAllister, Jeff McAllister and Jennifer Burke (Vince); and her siblings, Ed Carstensen, Allan Carstensen (Cathy), Judy Shook and Marti Hempel (Tom). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Empowering Abilities (formerly Handicapped Development Center), a cause she cared deeply about.
