He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Martin and Helen Martin (Gress); his siblings, Carolyn Doran and Robert Martin; his father-in-law Bill Murphy; and his brother-in-law Paul Murphy.

He is survived by: his wife Kathryn A. Murphy; his daughter Julie Woods (James) of Davenport; his grandchildren, Cameron Woods (Victoria Duff), Daniel Woods (Gianna Worley) and Isabella Woods (Ruben Morales); his great grandchild Solyse Morales; his mother-in-law Celeste Murphy (Long Grove); and his sister-in-law Judi Martin.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (1702 Iowa St, Davenport, IA 52803).

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, or the Alzheimer's Association, Quad Cities Chapter.
