Jean M. Kavanaugh Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2025, at the age of 88, Jean M. Kavanaugh of Davenport, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold C. "Happy" Welzenbach and Geraldine C. Welzenbach (Russell); her son Kevin Kavanaugh; and her brothers, John and Donald Welzenbach.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald L. "Jerry" Kavanaugh; her children, Erin Smith (Marvin) of Davenport, Kathleen Kilfoy (Pat) of Davenport, Shawn Kavanaugh of Davenport and Colleen Kahley (Kevin) of Davenport; her grandchildren, Drake Smith (Alicia), Connor Kavanaugh (Mikayla), Brendan Kavanaugh, Liam Kavanaugh, Caitlin Kavanaugh, Carter Kilfoy, Alexander Kilfoy, James Kavanaugh, Caleb Kahley, Kersten Kahley and Carson Kahley; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Vivian, Morgan, Davis and Carlie; and her brothers, William Welzenbach (Margaret) and Dennis Welzenbach (Mary Beth).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home (614 Main St, Davenport, IA 52803). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (4105 N Division St, Davenport, IA 52806).
