He was predeceased by: his parents, James McCoy and Marian McCoy (Murphy); his sister Rosemary Schaaf; his brother-in-law Dave Bailey; and his nephews, Jim and Doug Schaaf. He is also survived by his wife of 51 years; his children, their spouses and grandchildren.
