It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Joiner of Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Joiner to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Willich and Norma Willich (Merz); her husband Roscoe W. Joiner; her sister Hazel Willich Stickrod-Darland; her daughters, Scheryl Ann Schumacher and Connie Joiner-Wendland; her nephew Mark Stickrod; and her grandson Eric Cary.
She is survived by: her former husband Harry Delbert Schumacher; her children, Timothy Delbert Schumacher of Davenport, Michael Todd Schumacher of Davenport and Debora Kaye Schumacher of Davenport; her stepdaughters, Debora Joiner Elliott (Henry), Roxanne Joiner Mortenson (Jerry) and Patricia Joiner Barnard (Jeff) of North Glen, Colorado; her siblings, Edwin L. Willich, Willa K. Dobbs and Ruth A. Rothenberger; and also David E. Stickrod. She is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home (614 Main St, Davenport, IA 52803). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1401 N Perry St, Davenport, IA 52803).
Memorials may be made to the International Ministries at First Baptist Church.
