He is survived by: his wife Janet Gehle; his children, John Gehle (Amy), Linda Knarr (Danny) and Elizabeth Gehle; his grandchildren, Megan Gehle, Hannah Gehle, Justin Knarr and Sarah Knarr; and his brothers, Daniel Gehle (Barbara) and Robert Gehle (Eve).

Memorials may be made in Harold's memory to Trinity Lutheran Church School or Lutheran Hour Ministries.
