She was predeceased by: her parents, Realto O. Gusta and Veronica Gusta (Zapf); her husband Kenneth Alger; her children, Joan, Patrick Joseph "PJ", Joyce Schurke (Dean) and Kenny (Janell); her grandson Mark M. Hintze; her great grandchild Lily Hintze; and her sister-in-law Realto "Gus" (Ruth).
She is survived by: her children, Karen Hintze (Tim) of Davenport, Sandie Hintze (Jeff) of Davenport, Carol Abbas (Jim) of Davenport, Susie Guertsen (Wayne) of Davenport, Mike Alger (Lois) and Barry Alger (Kathy); and her brother Ron Gusta (Shirley). She is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
