Eileen Matson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2025, at the age of 91, Eileen Matson of Davenport, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eileen Matson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Glancy and Irene Glancy (Powers); her former spouse Russell Thies of Mary's Catholic Church; her husband Jack Matson; and her siblings, Thomas, Raymond, Patrick Glancy and Margaret Gimbel.
She is survived by: her children, Patrick Thies (Mindy), Debbie Weiman (Tom), Mike Matson (Trish), Mark Thies (Betsy), Michele Kelly (Bob) and Maureen Vieth (John); and her sister-in-law Judy Glancy.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home (614 Main St, Davenport, IA 52803). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (1923 Fillmore St, Davenport, IA 52804). A burial was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (804 E 39th St, Davenport, IA 52807).
Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, All Saints Catholic School or the Jack and Eileen Matson Scholarship at Assumption High School.
