He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward O. Schaefer and Dorothy M. Schaefer (Koopmann); his wife Ann Paulsen; his children, Dale, Carol Gallager (Steve), Dean and Leslie Schaefer; and his grandchildren, Ross Gallager (Alisha), Alexis Callahan (Andrew), Abigail and Seth.
