With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna J. Maid-Tyson of Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on April 16, 2025 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus James and Annie B. Friday (Maid); and her grandparents, Alberta (Whitsett), Luke Brown, Joe and Willie Mae Sanders (Parks).
She is survived by: her husband Warren Tyson; her children, Arsenio, Centira, Warren Jr. and Nathan; her godchildren, Steven Jr., Alizea and Jaylen; her grandchildren, Arrin, Amahd, Zion, Adonis, Rose and Jacori; her siblings, Alberta, Robert, James, Coretta, Denise, Shawn Ray, Elizabeth and Keith; and her nephew Rodney Jr..
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the People's Missionary Baptist Church (553 23rd St, Rock Island, IL 61201). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Peoples Missionary Baptist Church (553 23rd St, Rock Island, IL 61201).
