She was predeceased by: her parents, Gunner Nelson and Maude Nelson (Brotherton); her grandson Joseph Potter; and her siblings, Gunner Nelson Jr., Richard Nelson, Carl Nelson, Eric Nelson, Mike Nelson, Donna Studer, Karen Suffel and Sheryl Hagge.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Potter; her children, Mark Potter (Christy) of Maricopa, AZ, Cindy Garlough (Darrell) of Davenport, IA, Julie Christy (Jerry) of Reynolds, IL and Chris Potter (Carly) of Muscatine, IA; her siblings, Mary Nelson of Dubuque, IA, Ed Nelson (Mary Ellen) of New York City, NY and Lori Kenniker (Kenny) of Fort Myers, FL; and her grandchildren, Steve Kilker (Ashley), David Kilker (Cori), James Christy (Leah), Jeri Lynn Hawk (Dasan), Amy Strickland (Tralix), Melissa Potter and Jessica Marty (Greg). She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Davenport First Church of the Nazarene (1010 N. Clark Street 60610). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name, to the Davenport First Church of the Nazarene.
